About Speech Therapy and Gaelic (STaG)

The original idea for the resource came from NHS Western Isles Speech and Language Therapists.

Living and working in an area where Gaelic is the first or preferred language of many children, the Speech and Language Therapy (SLT) service recognised the need for more resources that would support children to practice their tricky sounds in Gaelic as well as English.

The service applied to Bòrd na Gàidhlig’s GLAIF fund to create this resource. Following the awarding of the grant by Bòrd na Gàidhlig, NHS Western Isles SLT team has worked in conjunction with Lumberjack Digital and Stòrlann Nàiseanta na Gàidhlig to produce the finished product. It is hoped that you will find these games and resources useful and fun to use.
