Speech & Language Therapy

Information about Speech & Language Therapy in Scotland

Speech and Language Therapists work with people of all ages with difficulties with communication or swallowing.  This could be people with learning difficulties, autism, hearing impairments, adults who have dementia or have had a stroke, children who stammer, have a language delay, cleft palate, speech sound difficulties, or  social interaction difficulties to name but a few!

In Scotland, you can contact your local SLT department for advice or to request their help directly, or access them through your child’s school/nursery or any healthcare worker.
